Mellis Freshening Birch Tar & Honey Sauna Cream 150 g

Tar cleanses, soothes and balances the skin. Tar and meadowsweet alleviates itchiness and skin irritations.  Meadowsweet and  honey moisturises, nourishes and enhances the cleansing effect.  Application: Spread lightly on your skin and allow to absorb in the warmth of a sauna. Also suitable for massage and skin-treatment purposes; spread on moistened skin in a warm place or dissolve in bath water. Can even be used in treating the hair and scalp. Rinse off using only water, no soap.  You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated after your sauna.

Compared to ordinary honey and other sauna honey products, the advantage of our sauna honey creams is their ease of use and tidiness. Our sauna honey creams remain uniform in consistency, preventing crystallising, running and dripping from your skin. After a steam room visit, use only water to rinse. The package is sufficient for 15 - 25 sauna visits. Shower the sauna platform with water if necessary.                                                                                       
         
Sauna honey creams provide you with a natural method to treat and revive your skin in the sauna's warmth. You need not wash your skin with soap before your sauna. Washing is not even recommended since the use of sauna honey cream also reduces the need for soap, other cleansing agents and moisturising creams. However, intimate hygiene, such as washing your feet is advisable, but otherwise a light shower is enough. Like before any ordinary sauna visit.

The sauna is a place for relaxation, which means that sauna honey creams are applied to the skin when sitting in the sauna warmth on the platform.  In other words, not in the shower room prior to entering the steam room. Sauna honey creams may be applied, either to moist skin after a shower, or to completely dry skin, depending on personal preference. You may let your skin warm up for a while in the sauna heat and humidity, allowing your pores to open and help the honey penetrate your skin.  

Our sauna honey creams are packaged in tubes. The use of a customised tube model is a carefully considered choice. Applying the sauna cream is simple, thanks to a solid flip top cap. Application is also hygienic. The tubes are made from recyclable polyethylene that can be burned, even in the sauna stove.
